La pausa P1/P2 en Barcelona

Jeni, Douglas, Johnny and I headed up to Gare d'Austerlitz in Paris to catch our overnight train to Barcelona. Had a great nite recouping after exams and drinking wine in our 4-person cabin.

Arrived in BCN early in the morning reasonably well rested albiet somewhat alarmed at our lack of accomodations ('twas but a last-minute departure.) Gave a couple young Alaskan girls some quick advice as they were clearly lost, then proceeded to spend a couple hours working both the phones and streets to secure accomodations. Finally we landed a wicked modern 2-bedroom apartment in Poblenou. Liana who'd arrived the evening prior, met up with us there and after siesta we downed some rosado and made our way to my favorite bar. At Mas i Mas we met Pipo, Aude, Steven, and Veronica for a few cocktails before heading to The Sutton Club where Johnny rocked the d-floor and VIP area. All told, pretty stellar nite.

Saturday Douglas and I spent workshopping some business ideas and drinking rosé at És while the rest of crew did the tourist thing. Saturday nite we met the same group for dinner at El Trobador and then hit up a bed at Carpe Diem Lounge Club (CDLC) (much love to Vero for hooking it up) for a couple bottles of Absolut on the beach.

Very chill day...had a long lunch with Shota and his friend at a cerverceria I know in La Gracia then made our way to the airport to catch our flight to CDG with Vueling (still a great airline, btw.)

Had the morning off to tackle my pre-reading and classes from 2pm till 7 bells. A bit tired still from the weekend, but can't complain. Weather was wicked and had a chance to chill with both my new friends and some friends from the summer. Bueno, bueno, super bueno.

Happy Halloween tout le monde! Check out the snaps from the weekend above...
